Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), cored and cut into small, thin slices
  • 1 (11 oz) bag soft caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother dipping)
  • Optional toppings: crushed peanuts, sprinkles, toffee bits, or sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the square pretzel snaps in a single layer on the prepared sheet.
  3. Place a small, thin apple slice on top of each pretzel.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unwrapped caramel candies and heavy cream.
  5. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until the caramel is completely smooth and melted.
  6. Carefully spoon or drizzle a small amount of the melted caramel over each apple-topped pretzel, allowing it to drip down the sides a little.
  7. Let the caramel set for about 15-20 minutes at room temperature, or 5-10 minutes in the refrigerator.
  8. In another microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using).
  9. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
