- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated. Add the vanilla extract and combine well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop generous amounts of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space in between.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center looks slightly undercooked.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, do not overbake.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
