- 12 large marshmallows
- 1 cup white frosting
- 24 pretzel sticks
- Orange candy-coated chocolates (for noses)
- Black edible gel or mini chocolate chips (for eyes and buttons)
- Cupcake liners
Instructions
- Bake the Cupcakes:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or as directed on your cupcake mix.
- Line a cupcake tray with liners.
- Prepare the chocolate cupcake batter according to package instructions.
- Fill each liner halfway and bake as directed, usually about 15-20 minutes.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely.
- Frost the Cupcakes:
- Once the cupcakes are cool, frost each one with a swirl of white frosting to create a snowy effect.
- Assemble the Snowman Heads:
- Place a large marshmallow on top of each frosted cupcake.
- Dab a little frosting on one side of the marshmallow to attach an orange candy as the snowman’s nose.
- Use black edible gel or mini chocolate chips to add eyes and buttons to the marshmallow.
- Carefully stick pretzel sticks into the sides of the marshmallow to create arms.
- Decorate:
- Use additional frosting or edible gel to create more details like scarves or hats if desired.
Notes
- For a richer taste, use a moist cake mix or add a small touch of espresso powder to the cupcake batter.
- Ensure cupcakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent the frosting from melting.
- Customize the design by adding sprinkles or using colored frosting to personalize each snowman.
- If you prefer homemade frosting, blend powdered sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and milk to create a smooth consistency.
- Store in an airtight container to keep the cupcakes fresh for up to 3 days.
