Description

Delicious and easy-to-make tuna oat patties, perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans tuna packed in water, drained
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, oats, egg, onion, garlic, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is uniform and can hold its shape.
  2. Shape the mixture into small, compact patties using your hands.
  3. Warm a thin layer of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for a few minutes per side, or until they turn crisp and golden.
  4. Transfer the patties to a paper towel–lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve warm.

Notes

  • These patties can be served with a side salad or in a bun as a sandwich.
