Description

Delicious frozen meatballs coated in a sweet and tangy cranberry sauce, perfect as an appetizer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 900 g (2 lb) frozen meatballs (beef or turkey)
  • 360 ml (1½ cups) cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 240 ml (1 cup) chili sauce
  • 120 ml (½ cup) brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen meatballs to a large saucepan or slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir gently to coat.
  4. Stovetop: Simmer over medium-low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Slow Cooker: Cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1½–2 hours.
  6. Serve warm with toothpicks or over rice.

Notes

  • For an added kick, consider adding some chili flakes to the sauce.
