  • ¼ cup chopped almonds or walnuts (optional)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Pitted Medjool dates, a mixing bowl for optional fillings, parchment paper for cleanup, and a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in short intervals of 30 seconds, stirring until smooth.
  3. Make a lengthwise slit in each date, opening it like a treasure chest.
  4. If using nuts, fill each date with either whole or chopped pieces. Drizzle melted chocolate into each date’s opening.
  5. Place stuffed dates on parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  6. Sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
