  • ⅓ cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in molasses, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Slowly add the dry mix into the wet ingredients until a thick dough forms. Chill for 20 minutes.
  4. Roll dough into small bite-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined tray. Press lightly and top with sprinkles or icing.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes. Let cool before serving.
