Description

Delicious and healthy ground turkey lettuce wraps filled with fresh vegetables and flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • 4 cups lettuce (butter, romaine, or iceberg), chopped or whole leaves
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or chili sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, and cook until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground turkey and break it up with a spatula. Cook until no longer pink.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and green onions. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  4. While the turkey cooks, prep the veggies: shred the carrots, slice the cucumber, and wash and dry the lettuce.
  5. In serving bowls, layer lettuce on the bottom, then spoon in the hot turkey mixture.
  6. Top with carrots, cucumber, green onions, and sesame seeds.
  7. Drizzle with sriracha or chili sauce if desired.
  8. Serve immediately while warm and fresh.

  • These wraps are perfect for a light lunch or dinner.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less sriracha.
