Description

Delicious Hawaiian ham sliders with Swiss cheese and a flavorful butter mixture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12-oz) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (divided)
  • 12 ounces deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 8 ounces Swiss cheese (thinly sliced)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 7×11-inch pan with parchment paper, making sure it covers the bottom and extends slightly over the ends for easy lifting after baking. Set aside.
  2. Without separating the rolls, use a large serrated knife to cut the slider buns in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom layer. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the cut side of the bottom layer and about 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard on the cut side of the top layer. Place the bottom layer of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Evenly layer the ham over the rolls, followed by the cheese, and then the top layer of rolls.
  4. In a glass measuring cup or heat-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave (about 30-60 seconds). Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 2 teaspoons poppy seeds, and 2 teaspoons dried minced onion to the melted butter and stir to combine.
  5. Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the rolls. Use a spatula to gently spread it evenly over the tops.
  6. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes to lightly toast the tops.
  7. Let the sliders rest for 3-5 minutes, then lift them out of the pan using the parchment paper, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Let sliders cool for a minute before serving to avoid burns.
