Description
A delicious grilled steak topped with a creamy garlic sauce, garnished with fresh parsley.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh, chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Allow the steaks to reach room temperature. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of each steak generously with salt and pepper.
- Preheat your grill to high heat. Brush the steaks with olive oil.
- Place the steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust according to your preferred doneness.
- Transfer the steaks to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Whisk in the Dijon mustard and continue to cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the steaks on serving plates.
- Pour the creamy sauce over each steak.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to check doneness: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium.
- Feel free to add a splash of white wine to the sauce for added depth of flavor.
- Letting the steak rest is crucial for retaining its juices.
