Description

A delicious festive cheesecake perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for topping)
  • Red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare Crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Chill: Place the crust in the refrigerator to set while preparing the filling.
  4. Mix Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth.
  5. Add Eggs: Add eggs one at a time, beating slowly and scraping the sides of the bowl after each addition.
  6. Combine Other Ingredients: Add sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour. Mix until well combined.
  7. Pour Batter: Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 55–60 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  9. Cool: Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake sit in the oven with the door cracked open for 1 hour.
  10. Refrigerate: Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  11. Whip Cream: In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  12. Decorate: Spread or pipe whipped cream on top of the cheesecake. Sprinkle red and green sprinkles over the whipped cream.

Notes

  • Room Temperature Ingredients: Ensure cream cheese and eggs are at room temperature for a smoother batter.
  • Avoid Cracks: To prevent cracking, don’t over-bake the cheesecake. It should still slightly jiggle in the center when done.
  • Water Bath: Consider using a water bath to help the cheesecake bake evenly and prevent cracks.
  • Chilling: Make sure the cheesecake is well-chilled before cutting for clean slices.
