Description
This delicious slow cooker recipe brings together tender sirloin tip steak and hearty potatoes, seasoned perfectly for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs Sirloin Tip Steak (or chuck roast, cubed)
- 2 lbs Potatoes (cut in 2-inch pieces)
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt (omit if using salted butter)
- 2 tablespoons Minced Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Steak Seasoning
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter (sliced)
- to taste Green Onion (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cube the steak, then cut up the potatoes into about 2-inch pieces.
- Add all of the ingredients to the Slow cooker. Mix everything together.
- Cook on low for 5-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Cooking it low and slow produces the most tender steak bites. Cook time will depend on the size of the beef chunks (and potato pieces). Start checking for doneness at the 5 hour mark on low, and at the 3 hour mark on high, to prevent drying out the meat.
- Serve as is or with a green salad.
Notes
- This recipe is versatile; feel free to add vegetables like carrots or celery.
- Adjust seasoning according to your taste preferences.
