- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Extra shredded coconut and freeze-dried strawberries for coating
Instructions
- Prepare the Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, almond flour, and a pinch of salt.
- Add in the finely chopped fresh strawberries.
- Pour in the melted coconut oil, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract.
- Mix well until everything is combined and holds together when pressed.
- Shape the Balls:
- Use a tablespoon to scoop out the mixture, then roll it into balls using your hands. Aim for uniform sizes for even chilling.
- Coat the Balls:
- In a separate bowl, mix extra shredded coconut with crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
- Roll each ball in the coating mixture until fully covered.
- Chill:
- Place the bliss balls on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
Notes
- For a different texture, try adding some chopped nuts or seeds to the mixture.
- You can substitute almond flour with oat flour if desired.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup or honey according to your preference.
- Store the bliss balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Enjoy chilled for best flavor and texture.
