- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz chocolate (8 squares, cut in half)
- 2 cups fresh raspberries
- 1 egg + 1 teaspoon water (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar, for sprinkling
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for vanilla glaze)
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream (for vanilla glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for vanilla glaze)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (for vanilla glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Cut each puff pastry sheet into 8 equal squares.
- Add a spoonful of cream cheese mixture, a few raspberries, and half a square of chocolate to the center of each square.
- Brush the edges with egg wash and fold into triangles. Press edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush tops with more egg wash and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and flaky.
- Cool for 5–10 minutes.
- Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth, drizzle over turnovers, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Serve warm or store properly for later.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh raspberries.
- These turnovers can be frozen before baking for later use.
- Adjust the sweetness of the glaze according to your taste.
