Description

A comforting and hearty casserole combining ground beef, creamy soups, and cheese, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Optional: green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onions until the beef is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the cooked beef. Stir to coat the meat evenly in those savory spices.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, diced tomatoes (with their juice), milk, and cooked rice. Stir until well combined.
  5. Add the seasoned beef to the bowl with the soup and rice mixture. Mix well.
  6. Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Pour the entire mixture into your prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese evenly on top. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly around the edges.
  8. Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.
