Description
Enjoy your delightful and indulgent Cheesy Bacon Donut Burgers!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 glazed donuts
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juicier patties)
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter (for grilling)
- Optional toppings: sautéed onions, pickles, or lettuce
Instructions
- Prepare the Bacon: Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove them from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.
- Cook the Beef Patties: Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Using the same skillet or a grill, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.
- Prepare the Donuts: Slice each donut in half horizontally to create a ‘bun.’ Lightly butter a skillet or a griddle and grill the donut halves face-down until golden brown.
- Assemble the Burgers: Place a beef patty on the bottom half of each donut. Add crispy bacon slices on top of the cheese. Add any optional toppings you like. Cap with the other half of the donut.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a slice of jalapeño pepper or a drizzle of sriracha sauce.
- Ensure the beef is not overworked when forming patties to maintain juiciness.
- Consider using a non-stick skillet or a grill with some oil to prevent sticking.
