Description

This delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch recipe combines crunchy cereal with a rich chocolate and peanut butter coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz box crunchy cereal (like Chex)
  • 1012 oz bag dark chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter (creamy, not crunchy!)
  • 1/2 cup butter (we use salted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 lb powdered sugar (actual usage amount will vary, see instructions)

Instructions

  1. Place chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter into a large glass bowl and heat over a double boiler, or in the microwave in 30 second intervals. Melt until smooth, then stir in vanilla extract.
  2. Add cereal to a very large bowl that will allow lots of mixing.
  3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold them together.
  4. Pour half of the powdered sugar over the chocolate-coated cereal and stir gently until coated. Add more as needed until the cereal is coated to your desired level.

Notes

  • Actual usage amount of powdered sugar may vary based on personal preference for sweetness and coating thickness.
